Why AI vocals mess up good lyrics

AI music models fit your words onto musical bars. When line length jumps around, the vocal has to squeeze or stretch – and clarity collapses.

Uneven lines

A 14-syllable line after an 8-syllable one forces the singer to rush or swallow words.

Weak beats

Stressed syllables landing on weak beats sound unnatural – “ba-NA-na” becomes “BA-na-NA”.

Broken rhymes

When the rhyme scheme falls apart, the hook loses its pull and the song feels unfinished.

Frequently asked questions

What is Lyrics2Song?

Lyrics2Song is a browser-based songwriting studio for people who make music with AI tools like Suno and Udio. It counts syllables and stress in real time, checks rhymes, and helps you fix lines that do not fit the melody, then exports Suno-ready lyrics.

Why does Suno rush or mumble some of my lyrics?

AI singers have to squeeze every syllable into the melody. When one line has 12 syllables and the next has 7, the vocal either rushes, stretches words or slurs them. Keeping lines in a section at a similar syllable count – and putting stressed syllables on strong beats – makes AI vocals much clearer.

How do I make lyrics fit the beat?

Paste your lyrics into the studio, check the syllable pill next to each line, and fix lines that are 2+ syllables away from the section target. You can rewrite them yourself, use “Make it singable”, or pick one of six AI options with the exact syllable count.

Does it work with Udio and other AI music generators?

Yes. The export uses the common [Verse] / [Chorus] section format that Suno, Udio and most AI music tools understand. It also works for human singers and songwriters.

Is Lyrics2Song free?

Yes – during the public beta the studio is free, with a daily limit on AI actions. The syllable grid, rhyme check and export have no limit. A paid Pro plan with more AI credits is planned.

Do I need an account?

No. During the beta your songs are saved automatically in your browser. Use Export to download a project file you can import later on any device.

Who owns the lyrics I write?

You do. Lyrics2Song does not claim any rights to your lyrics. The authorship log shows which words you wrote and which came from AI suggestions.

Which languages are supported?

English for now. Syllable counting is language-specific, so more languages will be added one at a time.
